I want to get rid of that annoying sound when u use the physical shield, is there a way to do this

Open SPECIAL_EFFECT_PHYSICALSHIELD and change Cast Sound, Init Sound, and End Sound to 0 Wink

I see no entry called SPECIAL_EFFECT_PHYSICALSHIELD

Has anyone managed to turn this sound off yet with the game.bin?

Uh, well, i wonder to how to change the color of physical shield. I wonder to make it red lights. Anyone knows?

can some one make a mod fmp file

to turn this blastic sound off on this bugger or redirect it to another sound file? thats is better then this. lighting be better or thunder maye

erm...no, lightning would be worse.
I did it, just look carefully,
SPECIAL_EFFECT_PHYSICALSHIELD should be there, and then delete the CastSound, InitSound and Endsound and all the unknown ints between them, that will make the shield totally silent

I hate to be a pain, but can you please tell me exactly how to get to the place where you turn the settings to 0. Ive been trying to figure this out for a while

To disable the sound of physical barrier you just need to go to SPECIAL_ABILITIES_PHYSICAL_SHIELD_DEF, SPECIAL_ABILITIES_PHYSICAL_SHIELD_DEF_INSTANCE, and go to one setting bellow CastSound (its an unknown) and change it to 0. Also the three unknown below it (in other words, all the unknowns between CastSound, and EndSound, but not CastSound and EndSound themselves). That will get rid of the physical barrier sound on all levels.

Thanks! I'd given up on this. But, erm, in the SPECIAL_ABILITIES_PHYSICAL_SHIELD_DEF_INSTANCE, I don' see a CastSound or an EndSound. Is this an ID-10 T error on my part?

Or do you mean "HERO_ABILITY_SHIELD_CAST" and "HERO_ABILITY_SHIELD_END"? Cuz that wurkz Wink

I wish I'd seen this in the Wiki.

is there a way for you to make a mod PHYSICAL_SHIELD_mute.fmp file? it be easy on other's & be a great item and many would love you for it.
